Columbus United FC Shares Farewell to Head Coach Brett Teach
Columbus, GA — Columbus United FC announces that Head Coach Brett Teach will be departing the club. While goodbyes are never easy, this one comes with immense gratitude, respect, and genuine appreciation for everything Coach Teach has brought to our United family as the first Head Coach in club history.
From the moment he joined us, Coach Teach was more than a coach — he was a mentor, a supporter, and someone who consistently showed up for our players and our community. He helped guide our club to multiple trophies, created memories that will stay with us, and poured his heart into building something truly special here in Columbus.
Coach Teach led our inaugural season to win the NPSL Gulf Coast Conference, the NPSL South Region, and a place in the NPSL National Final Four Playoffs. In our sophomore season, he guided Columbus United through the transition into the highly competitive South Central Division of USL League Two, continuing to set standards and push the club forward.
“Coach Teach has meant so much to this club,” said General Manager Eleni Hitchcock. “He cared about our players as people first. He believed in what we’re building and gave us his very best every single day. We’re thankful for the time we shared and excited to cheer him on in his future endeavors.”
Stay tuned as Columbus United prepares to announce the next Head Coach ahead of the 2026 season. While change is part of the journey, the impact Coach Teach made will stay with us as his mentality and culture stays in the roots of our club!
Coach Teach — thank you for being part of this family. You’ll always have a home in Columbus, GA.
